The most compelling model for buildings of today and the future has to be nature. Our approach likens buildings and urban environments to living organisms, evolving in response to climate and topography.
A creative thinker and architect for 25 years, Stephen combines unique design and drawing skills with in-depth understanding of biophilic theory and sustainable practices in architecture and urban design. An advocate of restorative design practices, he engages the potential of the built environment to reconnect people and communities with nature.
Stephen looks to nature’s many examples of integrated design, where form is enriched through purposeful connection to place and environment. He acknowledges the best solutions often appear simple; however the underpinning design elements must combine elegance and function. Stephen aims to improve peoples’ quality and experience of life – both physically and mentally, through design.
