Hanwha Armoured Vehicle Centre of Excellence (H-ACE)

DesignInc were engaged by the D+C contractor, Built, to complete the documentation and design of the assembly and testing facilities for Hanwha Defence Australia’s for the new purpose design Hanwha Armoured vehicle Centre of Excellence (H-ACE) – Stage 1. 

DesignInc had previously been engaged directly by Hanwha to develop the master planning, concept and schematic designs for this facility.

Stage 1 involved the design and construction of assembly and testing facilities for the Self-Propelled Howitzer (Huntsman) project for the Department of Defence. This included large production hall, workshops, paint booths, test facilitates and main Hub on a site in Avalon, Victoria, near Geelong. 

Stage 2 will involve the design and construction of an additional production hall, EMI/EMC chamber and enclosed firing range, storage facilities and a further testing facilities to enable delivery of the Infantry Fighting Vehicle project (Redback) for the Department of Defence.
