Harris Park Station

DesignInc Sydney - Harris Park Station perforated screen

The Harris Park Station TAP access upgrade brief asked for innovation; DesignInc responded with a design solution that relates strongly to the local community, employing rich cultural and social references to establish a sense of place and make customers feel safer while improving the travel experience.

Connecting to culture and community

Harris Park, a destination for Indian culture, cuisines and experiences, inspired the use of a simplified Mandala perforation pattern on anti-throw screens and façade panels and the Holi Festival of Colours influenced the vibrant colours on columns that act as wayfinding references and are an anti-vandalism tool by creating an artwork of the platform itself.

Safety and accessibility

Customer experience and accessibility are improved with new accessible lifts, canopies, station upgrade, a drop-off zone and accessible car space.
