Manly Vale Carpark

B-Line Manly Vale carpark

Manly Vale carpark is a green, responsive and healthy solution. Paving the way for a green, electric future, this project integrates a range of cutting edge initiatives to support urban greening, electric vehicles and renewable energy.

It is a key component of the Northern Beaches Bus B-Line transport infrastructure project, a NSW Government initiative which provides reliable, regular and high capacity public transport options between Sydney’s Northern Beaches and the CBD. Located on the corner of Condamine Street and Kenneth Road, Manly Vale carpark supports multi-modal travel, with approximately 150 new car parking spaces as well as bicycle parking. Located adjacent to a B-Line bus stop it encourages commuters to ‘Park and Ride’.

A world first

Manly Vale carpark incorporates a world first ‘breathing wall’, designed in collaboration with Junglefy. The innovative design of the green façade incorporates rotating panels that spin 180 degrees to provide easy and safe access for ongoing plant maintenance. The breathing wall hosts over 9000 plants which provides clean air and noise reduction for locals, creates a habitat for local biodiversity and has aesthetic value by contributing streetscape character to a busy road.

The Manly Vale B-Line Stop is adjacent to the carpark with easy access via the lift

This is an exciting step towards creating more sustainable designs for infrastructure.
