Kauri Community and Sports Centre

The Kauri Community and Sports Centre is a three-level building incorporating a ground-level dual-use community centre, administration areas and an acoustically-isolated band rehearsal space. Change rooms occupy the undercroft level. The upper floor is a shared clubroom overlooking the new tennis courts and hockey playing field and captures spectacular ocean views to the northwest.

The redevelopment was commissioned by the City of Holdfast Bay following extensive consultation and master planning. It also provides additional car parking, improved passive recreation areas, landscaped running tracks and a new playground. These important inclusions offer added benefits to create a vibrant recreation precinct and encourage active participation by a broad cross-section of the community.
