Set within Adelaide’s North Park Lands, the Tidlangga Sports Hub is a vibrant anchor for community life. Designed to foster connection, participation, and wellbeing, the hub brings together community athletes, families, students, and locals in a space that celebrates sport and social engagement.
DesignInc led the design and delivery of the Tidlangga Sports Hub at Bundey’s Paddock, transforming outdated facilities into a contemporary, multi-purpose venue. In collaboration with Prince Alfred College, the Old Collegians Football and Cricket Clubs, and the community, the pavilion balances functionality, sustainability, and harmony with its parkland setting.
The hub features AFL and SACA-compliant changerooms, unisex amenities, a modern kitchen, flexible community spaces, and improved viewing areas. Natural materials add warmth and reflect the character of the landscape.
Set among the iconic river red gums of the Adelaide Park Lands, the design responds sensitively to its natural context, seamlessly connecting with nearby features including the adventure playspace, bushland trail, courts, and oval. A permanent structure was selected over modular construction to align with the Adelaide Park Lands Building Design Guidelines and ensure long-term quality and sustainability.
The project represents a genuine collaboration between Prince Alfred College, the clubs, and the City of Adelaide, creating a facility that reflects the needs of all users. By consolidating multiple structures into one cohesive hub, the development simplifies operations, reduces maintenance, and enhances the overall experience for players, spectators, and the wider community.
