UNSW CBD Campus wins at Construction Awards

We’re proud to share that the University of New South Wales (UNSW) CBD Campus was recognised at the 2025 Master Builders Association (MBA) of New South Wales Excellence in Construction Awards, winning in the category of Tertiary Buildings: Up to $10M.

This award celebrates a project that reimagined the postgraduate learning environment – striking a thoughtful balance between tertiary education and professional life. Located within the Poly Centre at 210 George Street, Sydney, the campus is a testament to UNSW’s commitment to innovation and accessibility, and to the power of collaboration.

DesignInc Principal – Interiors and Project Lead, Nathan Humphries, said:

“This project was a true collaboration from start to finish. Working alongside UNSW and MPA, we were united by a shared vision to create a space that supports learning, connection and professional growth. It’s incredibly rewarding to see that effort recognised, but more than anything, we’re proud of the relationships and trust that made it possible.

“The award is a testament to the collaboration, skills and execution in delivery from MPA to bring the project to life through their attention to detail and active pursuit of innovation and sustainability opportunities.”

Led by DesignInc’s Interiors team, and delivered in partnership with UNSW and builder MPA, the project retrofitted a two-storey education facility into a commercial office building. The result is a state-of-the-art space designed for professional students, featuring flexible learning areas, a commercial kitchen for events, and a welcoming double-height atrium.

This recognition is a reflection of the shared vision, dedication, and teamwork that brought the project to life. We’re grateful to have worked alongside UNSW and MPA to deliver a space that supports learning, connection, and growth.
