Richard joined DesignInc as a Director in March 2008 after 12 years running his own award winning practice, Stafford Architects Pty Ltd. In September 2008 he assumed the role of Managing Director of the Adelaide office.

Richard’s specialty is to lead projects through the master planning and concept design phases. His approach to these tasks is consultative and collaborative, thereby ensuring that all the projects parameters and the client’s requirements are understood and addressed in the projects infancy.

Richard passionately believes that quality design can have a positive impact on the quality of people’s lives – at work, rest and play. He also is a determined advocate of ESD issues being considered for all building projects.
