Project: Summit Aquatic + Leisure Centre

At DesignInc Adelaide, we recognise the significant role the built environment plays in shaping a more sustainable future.
Our Sustainability Action Plan (SAP) marks an important step in our ongoing commitment to understanding and reducing the environmental impact of our practice and our projects.

Grounded in our belief that design should positively influence people, place and planet, the SAP sets clear, measurable targets to guide our work and hold us accountable. It reflects our focus on creating resilient, low-impact environments that respond to local conditions while supporting the wellbeing of communities.

Aligned with our national approach and our commitment to Architects Declare, our SAP outlines how we will embed sustainable thinking across our design processes, studio operations and industry engagement. Through collaboration, education and continuous evaluation, we aim to minimise carbon, reduce waste and advocate for better outcomes across the projects we deliver. By sharing our progress and learning, we hope to contribute to broader change, supporting the transition to more regenerative and resilient built environments.

Our studio is committed to embedding measurable sustainability practices across our studio and projects, strengthening capability and accountability while fostering a shared understanding of holistic, low‑impact design. We aim to lead through action by integrating whole‑of‑life thinking across carbon, materials, ecology and community outcomes by contributing to a net‑positive future and delivering resilient, regenerative design outcomes tailored to each project’s unique context.
