The University of Adelaide BioSkills Medical School

Consolidating existing basement spaces within the university’s medical school was aimed at attracting world leaders in Bioskills medical research and teaching. To lessen the clinical feel, a sense of warmth, light and vibrancy was introduced through colour and materiality. The blood red of transition areas and signage is balanced with the earthy greys of open plan teaching laboratories. Digital imagery of anatomical workings on sliding doors act as both privacy screens and overlay teaching tools.
