DesignInc were engaged to develope the masterplan and building concept designs for the senior school at Lakes Grammar, an Anglican school in Warnervale. The design is based on a symetric arrangement of general learning units around external courtyards and a central COLA, framing a vista north towards the sports green. The building are simple contemporary shed structures which bring natural ventillation and daylighting into the central learning spaces. Corrugated iron and blockwork make the primary materials, punctuated by colourful highlights around the sun shade eaves and clearstorey windows. This project was developed after the Lakes Grammar Junior school on the northern portion of the site. The construction documentation and construction services were completed by Steiner Richardson Architects, formerly of DesignInc.
