Having the responsibility of transforming a single stream Primary School of 230 students into a school of 530 students on a very limited site over a 7 year period, DesignInc elected to recycle the existing buildings as shared use facilities and surround them with three stages of new buildings loaded with new environmental experience and metaphors-such as “The Ship of Learning”.
Each building has been conceived of as an “adventure playground” within itself, whilst the whole complex is unified through a consistent vocabulary and use of a limited range of building materials.
