Collins Place is a mixed use development comprising dual office towers and a 5 star hotel anchored by two floors of retail at the Collins Street level. Its location at the ‘Paris’ end of Collins Street and the overall quality of the development has meant that Collins Place has enjoyed a significant advantage over several other commercial developments in the immediate vicinity.
Designinc were commissioned to reposition and refurbish the retail space to compete more effectively with more recent developments in the immediate catchment area. This entailed working closely with the landlord to create a new retail strategy that would reinforce Collins Place’s identity as a prime retail destination.
The work involved replanning of the retail areas, new design elements to create a fresh new look, and a new leasing mix more in keeping with the market’s requirements. The result is a development in which the retail is an integral part of the whole development and adds to the overall amenity of the commercial areas.
