Bus Passenger Shelter

Invited to design a functional, elegant bus passenger shelter for the City of Adelaide which would suit a multitude of locations and accommodate a two sided advertising panel, DesignInc created a “linear umbrella.”

Prefabricated in one piece, the steel framed structure is bolted to two pre-established hollow steel uprights after which the laminated glass panels are installed.

The single 4m long module will comfortably accommodate 6 seated, 1 wheelchair and eight standing. Construction is comprised of a translucent sandwich paneled poly-propylene roof, stainless steel gutters, aluminum seating and powder coated steel frame. The shelter has proved to be very robust and relatively maintenance free.

Since its Award winning release into the marketplace, the bus shelter has been rolled out in many cities around the globe.
