The Address Hotel at Dubai Marina is a new landmark hotel created by Emaar, the largest property developer in the Middle East. Although primarily designed to cater to the corporate traveler, the leisure market and a large residential population in the immediate environs have to also be served, and the hotel has to compete with several other hotels in the vicinity.

Day spas are very popular in the Middle East, and clients are discerning. The new 1100 sq m Spa serves both male and female clientele, with some treatment rooms designed for couples. There are a several treatment rooms, changing facilities and relaxation lounges. In addition, there is a spa shop that sells relevant spa products.

The overall design philosophy was to create an island of serenity in what is a very hectic city. Lighting levels are therefore kept low, and the palette of materials is simple and refined. The overall impression is one of restrained luxury in keeping with the philosophy of creating a serene and welcoming environment.
